Training and Consultancy for a new model of volunteering

Volunteer Makers helps charities, community and arts and heritage organisations to expand their volunteer engagement and create new and wider connections with their supporter communities.

Volunteer Makers provides training and consultancy in volunteering strategy along with digital tools.  Our workshops and consultancy have helped organisations to grow larger pools of supporters linking to increased volunteering and volunteer sign-ups.

We can devise and deliver a training programme for your network or organisation. Our training ranges from workshops for individual organisations to national sector-based training programmes.

Development and delivery of a (up to) 4-hour tailored Strategic Training Workshop:

Our training will help you identify and plan how you can grow, inspire and manage a volunteer and supporter base using digital. It encourages organisations to work together creatively and strategically. This workshop includes one hour of training on the tech.  Includes up to two hours of online/virtual training and web technical support post-workshop.

You will take away:

  • An understanding of what 21st century volunteering is and why a new approach is needed
  • How you can engage a wider group of volunteers
  • What Volunteer Makers’ model of engagement is, how you can blend volunteering with public participation and the power of micro-volunteering
  • Next steps – the step-change you need to make as an organisation
  • Create an organisation-wide plan
  • Begin to set-up your Volunteer Makers platform

£1200 + vat plus travel expenses if applicable

Creation of a personalised Volunteer Makers web platform that uses your branding to fit with your other engagement tools (e.g. core website):

Our web platform has valuable functionality – it allows you to match the needs of your organisation to the skills and interests of your supporters, letting people support you in a way that that suits them and directly helps you.  Volunteer Makers comes with a challenge database, social media integration tools, communication tools, events management and powerful reporting tools to allow you to measure the financial impact of volunteering.

£1500 + vat

Licence and Hosting Per Annum

  • Secure hosting; SSL certificate; GDPR compliance; regular software updates
  • Up to 4000 users; unlimited administrators
    £60 + vat per month

Optional

  • Monthly technical support package, to include training and web technical support
  • Extra functionality e.g. blogs/news pages; donation buttons; sponsorship/advertising tools and functions
